Guest Sculptors & New Zealand Fine Art

While monumental kinetic steel anchors the trail, Iron Ridge Quarry is also a celebrated platform for exceptional guest artists from across New Zealand. Nestled among the towering limestone rock faces and native plantings, our curated guest exhibitions feature a diverse array of mediums, including bronze castings, carved sandstone, corten steel, glass, and native timber. These rotating installations offer visitors a multi-layered artistic journey through contemporary New Zealand sculpture.

A Curated Showcase of New Zealand Talent

Each guest artist featured at the quarry is hand-selected to complement the natural geometry and scale of the North Canterbury landscape. By integrating contrasting textures, from smooth, hand-carved stone to textured bronze, against the sheer quarry walls, the exhibition creates a dynamic dialogue between human craft and raw nature.

Whether you are a seasoned art collector or a day-tripper exploring the Waipara Valley, our guest exhibits provide fresh inspiration with every visit.
